When I was working for Moose Mountain bus lines, I ran the tours to casinos. I was living with Dave who was the charter manager at that time. One Sunday afternoon while we were watching a movie a phone call came in from a passenger who had called the emergency number. This was transferred to Dave’s cell phone at the time.
The lady had explained that she was on a golfing bus tour with a bunch of other ladies and she had drunk too much wine and had thrown up in the bathroom on a moving bus. She then went on to explain that her false teeth must be in the bus toilet. She had explained that she didn’t normally drink and had way too much fun. Dave said that he would call her back and hung up.
He immediately called Randy who was the driver on that golf charter. He was at the shop, and was going to dump the bus septic and clean the bus. Dave told Randy to back up away from the drain a few feet before he dumped the bus toilet into the sewer. So Randy did as he was asked. He phoned Dave back a short time later, laughing and saying that he found a set of blue teeth. The chemical to stop the washroom from smelling is blue. Dave asked him what he did with them and Randy said I took one of the paper cups for water and poured some bleach in it and put them in there.
Dave thanked Randy, and then phoned the lady back. He explained that we had found her teeth and that we would meet her at Moose Mountain Bus in about half an hour.
She showed up, was let in the shop, took her teeth out of the bleach and went into our washroom gave them a quick rinse put them in her mouth and left. Randy, Dave and I felt bad for her, but, also kind of grossed out. After the shock wore off we had to laugh at her misfortune. I bet her teeth were whiter than normal though!
The wash bay.
:-) Cute story! You saved her a lot of $$, dentures are very expensive not to mention going without them for a long time being awkward and embarrassing! Haha
