Poem

I've waited for a lifetime

and I've had a love or two,

but I must say the one I miss

is the love I had with you.

I've traveled many rocky roads,

and I've gone so many miles,

but, what it was that kept me going,

was the memory of your smiles.

So I turned around to come back to you,

and I see you smile again,

I don't know why I ever left,

and I hope I can make amend…
